Consorcio Comercial de la Peña, SA de CV is created with family capital under the trade name “FORTAPACK”. Main activity: distribution and supply of “generic” packaging materials to large and medium-sized companies in Mexico, mainly in the North.
Change of strategy from the simple distribution of generic materials to the signing of collaboration agreements with manufacturers of solutions and value-added materials to represent and / or distribute their products in the Mexican market.
The 1st agreement is signed with “UPPI”, a North American manufacturer of thermoformed packaging and the coverage is extended to National Level
The 2nd agreement was signed with Ripack, a French company that manufactures manual and semiautomatic equipment for packaging by means of thermo-contraction of plastic film.
Signing of the 3rd agreement with CGP Coating and extending the agreement with UPPI through a joint venture for the manufacture of thermoformed packaging in Mexico.
We obtain the Master Distribution of Ripack in Mexico.
An association between the CGP Coating Group and Fortapack is finalized and we transform into “CGP Fortapack”.
This year CGP Company is celebrating its 100 years birthday.
